Jason works out of a studio on Drew Street in Kingscote, and the thing people say about him first is how easy he is to be around. Clients describe a patient, friendly artist with a sense of humour, who goes out of his way to make sure you feel comfortable before the needle ever touches skin.
The work speaks for itself. Big black and grey realism pieces, portraits and animals, full leg sleeves shown from every angle, lettering, and colour when a design calls for it. Every piece is drawn for the person wearing it.

The work
Ten pieces,

All from Jason’s own chair in Kingscote. Realism, portraits, animals, script and colour, from single calf pieces to full backs and full legs.
Showcase
The jungle.
Two full legs, hip to ankle, and one idea carried all the way round. An elephant, a macaw, a tiger, a panther, a gorilla and a sloth, set in tropical leaves that knit every panel together.

Cover-ups and add-ons
Over a scar. Onto an old favourite.
Not every tattoo starts on clear skin. Jason has covered surgical scars completely and built new work onto existing tattoos, like a cherry blossom added to a butterfly.
I absolutely love my cherry blossom tattoo that you created for me many years ago to cover a surgical scar. It still looks as good as the day I had it done.

Anyone can make a tattoo look good straight off the table. This eagle is shown the day it was done and again once it healed, side by side, so you can see the linework and shading hold.
